Jill Swenson is a literary agent, developmental editor, writing coach, writing instructor, and professional storyteller. She specializes in narrative nonfiction and memoir. She has offered writing workshops at the Loft Literary Center, Grand Marais Art Colony, and The Mill. With a Ph.D. from The University of Chicago and thirty years of teaching, coaching, and editing, she established her Swenson Book Development, a boutique literary agency, in 2011. Her client list includes Margot Bloomstein (Trustworthy), Cathryn Prince (Queen of the Mountaineers, American Daredevil, Death in the Baltic), Carolyn Porter (Marcel’s Letters), and Elizabeth Rynecki (Chasing Portraits). Swenson is a veteran storyteller with Storycatchers, lives in Appleton with her dog Daisy, and her work-in-progress is set in Lake of the Woods.
